The Hour Of Evangelism Team

Introduction

The Hour of Evangelism team is formed by a group of non-denominational Christians with the foremost goal of reaching out to the unsaved souls where the word of God has not yet taken root in Ghana, specifically in the rural areas. Our major areas are Rural film show evangelism, schools outreach, Hospitals visitation, Prisons Outreach and Tracts development and distribution.

Our Concern

The present and eternal state of the lost souls imposes on every genuine child of God, a deep concern and desired to win them at any cost. We are grieved for the evils of the unsaved and their fallen spiritual state condition. This drives us unto our knees in supplication to God for their salvation. However, having a burden does not just happen, it comes from having vision for the lost, about the reality of hell and fierceness of God judgement on the unrepentant as well as praying to God for help to do something positive about it. The spiritual state of the unsaved is deplorable and pitiable. This is evident in the high rate of violence, disobedience, immorality, corruption, crime, occultism, drug addiction and lack of the fear of God among the youth and even adults in schools and society today. Worse still, thousand of souls are dying of sickness and various calamities without Christ.

Having experienced the mercy and forgiveness at Calvary, our understanding of the will of God to have all men saved and come to the truth has compelled us to be concerned for the unsaved. We cannot pretend to be unaware of the doom of a sinner who dies in his sin The Bible makes it plain that God will hold us responsible if we neglect our duty towards the lost souls (Ezekiel 3:18).

Our Perfect Example

Jesus Christ is our perfect example. His compassion on the multitudes compelled Him to go about all the cities and villages, teachings and preaching the gospel of the Kingdom(Matthew 9:35). Above all, He gave His life to save the lost and has given us the commission go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). In Mark 1:17, there is an invitation, Come and obligation, and an occupation, fisher of men. We are commissioned to show by our lives and tell by our lips that Christ has saved us from sin. It is the double testimony of lip and life that convinces men and confounds demons. Each believer should be impressed with the supreme importance and responsibility of soul winning. The measure of it impression on our hearts is determined by the degree of the expression in our lives.
Christ mandate to every Christian is, Go ye into the world and preach the gospel to every creature (Mark 16:15). However, any purpose without a willing heart and ability to carry it through is useless and unprofitable.

Many have been attending Church Service or fellowship for a long time without experiencing the saving power in the Savior Jesus Christ. This appears unbelievable, yet it is true. They stand the risk of dying in sin and going into everlasting punishment. Is it nothing to you? Care you not that they perish.The Lord is asking you the born again Christian. The Bible makes it plain that God will hold us responsible if we neglect our duty towards the lost (Ezekiel 3:18). Therefore, if you truly believe that hell is real and that Jesus is the only one through whom sinners must be saved, you will have compassion on them. You will plead with God on their behalf and persuade them to be reconciled with God.
Dear one, the love of God should constrain you to spare no effort in bringing the lost into the Kingdom of God at every available opportunity you have. These is joy unspeakable both now and in eternity for every soul you win. God will abundantly reward you in Heaven.
